UPDATE: This closure was lifted on May 23.

A gentlemen’s club in Pittsburgh has been ordered closed by the Allegheny County Health Department.

Medusa’s Lair, formally known as the Cricket Lounge, on Morewood Avenue was shut down on May 18. The alert was posted on May 22.

The Health Department says the business was ordered closed due to “lack of hot water, and for not being able to sanitize.”

There is also no three-compartment sink in the bar area.

Another violation found, raw beef found on top of cheese, a “medium-risk” violation.

Loose rodent bait was also found near the bar, along with a No pest strip with DDVP (a pesticide).

The closure remains active as of Wednesday afternoon, any updates and the full inspection can be seen on the Health Department’s website.

Medusa posted to it’s Instagram stories on Tuesday with a message that said “closed tonight, check back tomorrow.”
