A Castle Shannon man reached out to Get Marty for help after a sewage problem left him with no toilet, no shower, and no hope. Adding to the stress, Tom Jackson also had to have his leg amputated.
That hope is now alive thanks to the kindness of a new company joining our efforts to make a difference.

Watch the video on this page to see how Greater Pittsburgh Plumbing not only showed up in a big way, and how they're taking action to help.
Tom wasn't just stuck with this massive plumbing problem. He's on a fixed income and deals with health issues. He recently had his right leg amputated. For the last several months he hasn't been able to flush a toilet or even run water to bathe.
He tells me he's amazed at what's happening now thanks to the kindness of the owners of Greater Pittsburgh Plumbing.

While our camera rolled, Stan and his team got to work looking for the problem buried in Tom's pipes. They ran cameras down the lines and eventually found a trouble spot keeping this from being a simple fix.

They did eventually find a trouble spot but it's not in an easy place to get to. Next step this week will be to return with heavy equipment and dig up Tom's driveway, where they expect to find a the source of the problem and get it taken care of.

Now the big question, why does a company like this want to take on such a big job with Get Marty?
For one of the owners, Kelsey Hussak, she says it's about being able to do something to help someone and give back to the community.
We're thrilled to have them joining our team to help make a difference and they truly care about the work they do and who they do it for.
