We told you a few weeks ago about something special my friend Bruce Gelman wanted to do after his passing from a long battle with cancer.

Before he left us in December, Bruce committed to paying it forward every year for his birthday, giving $1,000 to help a different family in need for the next decade.

Watch the video on this page to see our first recipient of "Bruce's Wish". You're about to meet Kristen, a two-time cancer survivor who has been through hell and come out the other side.

With the help of Kristen's mother Tammy, We were able to pull off quite the surprise delivery with Bruce's wife, Bea Gelman. Kristen had no idea we were coming.

It's a wonderful moment of joy for a woman who has battled cancer two times, and just recently was able to go back to work. She tells us the gift will go a long way to help pay off bills that stacked up while she was unable to work during her latest treatment.

Successful surprise delivery!

We were able to make this happen on a special day as well. October 20th is Bruce's birthday and Bea says this was the perfect way to celebrate. Happy birthday Bruce!
