This is one of those stories that you can't help but smile about. It's the perfect example of the kindness of strangers. You're about to meet Kris Gaussa and Will, one of the two children she's adopted with special needs from China and there's one more in the works. Kris herself has some special needs these days. She had to have a knee replacement and has had back surgery.
All these issues forced Kris to move in with her parents for help because she simply couldn't get around in her own home. That's where a deacon from her church comes in. Jay Bennett and other members of First Reformed Presbyterian Church decided they needed to do something. That brings us to my good friend Carl D'Alicandro from A+ Stairlifts. Jay had reached out to Carl who really came through.

Carl and his team installed not one, but two stairlifts, making sure Kris and her kids can access their home again. Get this, he did it all for free. It gets better folks. One of the stairlifts he installed was also donated by one of our Get Marty listeners. And now Kris has already been able to move back into her house.

This is what it's all about! Helping people feels pretty damn good, doesn't it?
