A fundraiser has been started for the mother that lost her two children and husband after a murder/suicide in Mt. Lebanon Tuesday afternoon.

A GoFundMe has been started to support Anna DeMase Lynch after her husband killed their two children and then himself atop a parking garage in the community.

The Mt. Lebanon Police Chief Jason Haberman told reporters on Tuesday that “There will be a significant amount of trauma associated with this event,”

Chief Haberman also asked the public to pray for the affected family.

Several members of the community are throwing their support and thoughts behind Anna.

“No mother should ever have to experience this kind of pain,” wrote Gina Pugliano on GoFundMe. “Especially Anna, who devoted her life to her family and to the community. To know her is to love her. Nothing I write here will bring her babies back and give her any sense of justice or peace. If we, her family and friends, can ease the financial burden of having to bury her children and her husband, it would be a relief.”

One woman who knew the family said, “Anna, if you see this, I pray you can somehow, some way, find peace. Please consider donating any amount to this GoFundMe, I promise this is the legitimate one.”

“The Lynch’s were my clients, she added. “One of my best memories of the kids was right before closing on the new house…Caroline and I sat on the beautiful window seat of their new home and we talked about what we saw outside the window. She had Williams Syndrome and most of our “convo” was echolalia, with me naming pretty things outside and her so happily repeating it, and it remains one of my fondest memories. I told her all about how having a window seat was always my dream, and how lucky she was to have one in her new house. My son Ryan came there that day and played with her too so Anna and Patrick could concentrate on the house, and he was like the Caroline whisperer. It was the best seeing my son so nurturing and calm and patient with that darling little girl.”

Honey Bee Haven Early Learning, where daughter Caroline attended, said, “Anna has spent so much of her life advocating for children and working to ensure they have safe, loving, and supportive places to grow. It is a mission we share and one that has always been at the heart of Honey Bee Haven. Every child deserves to feel safe, accepted, valued, and loved exactly as they are. Caroline was, and always will be, part of that mission and part of our family.”

“Surround one another in love,” wrote a commenter on Facebook. “Not just today but for all the tomorrows we have. Be kind. Empathy matters. We never know what someone is going through.”
