The sudden and tragic loss of a Pennsylvania State Police Liquor Enforcement Officer has shocked a local community.
State Police Commissioner Col. Christopher Paris confirmed that Officer Benjamin Brallier was fatally stabbed near the Montour Trail in Moon Township, right at the border with Robinson Township.
Brallier leaves behind a wife and two young daughters.
To help the family, a GoFundMe has been setup by a friend of the family.
“While Sarah is an extremely strong woman, there will be many hardships that arise as she navigates the months to come,” organizer Valerie Blochberger wrote on the GoFundMe page.
Brallier’s two daughters are student in the Montour School District. Some activities at the school have been adjusted following the sudden death of Officer Brallier.
A teacher with Montour tells KDKA Radio that Brallier’s wife is a former teacher at the district and that “we all know the family.”
Many people in the Montour community have come together to help the Brallier family while they go through this unimaginable loss.
