Governor Tom Wolf says in the early days, before the vaccine, not a lot of options were readily available. He told the NewsRadio KDKA Morning Show Tuesday that despite the surge of the omicron variant, society is in a different place now.

“We had to do things very differently. Now we have all these things, and we can live lives a lot more freely than we could before and we don’t have to make the same harsh decisions we did two years ago.”

Wolf says he thinks the peak in cases is probably going to come sometime in the next couple of weeks, with the peak in hospitalizations two weeks following that.
