A student is in custody and facing charges after a lockdown at Pittsburgh's Carrick High School Tuesday afternoon.
According to Pittsburgh Public Schools district spokesperson Ebony Pugh, after a search of the high school by city and school police, a firearm was found inside of the building and confiscated.
At this time, the incident is under investigation. As a precaution, Carrick High School will operate on a modified lockdown Wednesday, January 12.
