A Consumer Alert has been issued for restaurant in Pittsburgh after a foodborne illness complaint led to an inspection.

An inspection by the Allegheny County Health Department shows Mintt Indian Cuisine on Banksville Road in Banksville was hit with 15 total violations, two of those considered high-risk.

Those high-risk violations include vacuumed fish filets held in a freezer measuring at 44 to 46 degrees. That is above the safety zone for holding food.

The other high-risk violation involved cold holding temperatures.

Lamb, sauces, and heavy cream found in the middle of a cooler were measured above the safe zone of 41 degrees or lower.

The temperatures for chicken, lamb, tofu and sauces in the upper section of the cooler temped between 66 and 70 degrees.

A three-gallon bucket of paneer cheese was temped at 80 degrees and the internal temperature of raw eggs being held at room temperature on top of a prep cooler measured at 67 degrees.

All of the food out of the safe zone was thrown away voluntarily.
