The iconic ketchup bottles that were once hung on the score board at the former Heinz Field will have a new home next week.
The Kraft Heinz company announced Wednesday that one of the 35-feet tall, 7,000-pound bottle will be installed at the Heinz History Center on Thursday, December 21.
The other bottle is currently on displace at Gate C at Acrisure Stadium.
Once installed, the bottle at the History Center will be the largest artifact at the museum.
The bottle will be on display at the corner of 12th and Smallman Streets.
The first real chance people will get to snap a picture with the bottle will be on Friday, December 22. Construction equipment will be removed by then.
It makes sense the History Center will be the new home of the bottle. The museum has the world’s largest collection of H.J. Heinz artifacts.
