PWSA announced rate increases and a new stormwater fee were approved by the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission.

They say the average residential customer will see an increase of $5.65 a month in 2022 and $1.44 a month in 2023.

The increase will be lower for customers enrolled in the Bill Discount Program.

The new rates are expected to raise an extra $21 million in revenue.

They go into effect January 12.
