A suspect in a McKeesport homicide last year has been arrested.
Detectives from the Allegheny County Sheriff's office on Wednesday afternoon arrested 27-year-old Vernon Eutsey of Hazelwood, a fugitive for 17 months.
County police charged Eutsey with criminal homicide in the shooting death of 22-year-old McKeesport resident Michael Gunter in April of 2022.
Gunter was shot following an argument inside of a liquor store at Fifth and Market streets in McKeesport.
Detectives learned that Eutsey frequented the East End area and found him on the 600 block of Paulsen Avenue. He was arrested without incident and taken to Allegheny County Police headquarters.
