A major accident on Interstate 79 has closed the road in both directions this morning.

The accident is in Washington County between Exit 30: Lone Pine/Amity and the Laboratory, Exit 33.
PA State Police are asking commuters to consider alternate routes until further notice.
Officials are reporting four people injured in a three-vehicle accident. They were taken to the hospital. One of those injured was ejected from a vehicle.
Route 19 is the alternate route, but as of 10 a.m., is experiencing heavy traffic.
