The nation's migrant crisis has reached Southwestern Pennsylvania.

The immigrant population in Charleroi has grown by more than 2,000 percent in the last two years and its public schools have gained 172 students.

The new children attending Charleroi Elementary don't speak English and the majority are from Haiti.

After hiring more language teachers and an interpreter at a cost of more than $400,000, the Charleroi School District is calling on the state for help.
