An Italian restaurant in the Pittsburgh area hopes to reopen in two weeks after they were shut down by the Allegheny County Health Department, following an inspection.
Gia Visto on Saltsburg Road in Penn Hills was forced to closed after the Health Department found the facility was open without a health permit.
Two other violations were observed by inspectors.
Both considered “medium risk”. The first one is not enough refrigeration space.
“The facility lacks the equipment to support its online menu and the menu provided with its permit application/ plan review packet,” the inspection reads.
The other violation is the lack of a food preparation sink “to support its online menu.”

A flea market planned for September 7 is still planned outside Gia Visto
