PITTSBURGH (100.1 FM and AM 1020 KDKA) - Just how long will this "pause" last for the Johnson & Johnson vaccine?
Federal health officials called for a halt in the use of the company’s coronavirus vaccine while they study serious illnesses that developed in six American women. Dr. Marc Itskowitz, internal medicine physician with Allegheny Health Network, says the pause may last longer than previously thought.
"We are looking at the data that they are providing us. It's six cases, they all occurred within 13 days of the vaccine, so I would anticipate we'll probably need a couple more weeks," Itskowitz said during the KDKA Radio Morning Show.
