Longtime activist and current police director of 1Hood Media Khari Mosley has announced that he will challenge longtime councilmember the Reverend Ricky Burgess for his Pittsburgh City Council seat next year.
Mosley will run to represent the city's District 9, which includes East Liberty, Homewood, East Hills and five other East End neighborhoods.
Burgess was first elected to council in 2007 and won as recent as 2019 with 41% of the vote.
