The number of people learning how to steal certain Kia and Hyundai models is growing exponentially.
The trend is being fueled by social media videos showing others how to do it.
They call themselves Kia Boys.
Courtney Knotts' tells The Big K Morning Show 2017 Kia was stolen over the weekend from the parking lot at her South Side Works apartment building.
"I don't know who took it right now, but somebody took it on a joyride to McKees Rocks, completely destroyed it, ditched it in an alley and then the cops towed it away," said Knotts.
There's a class-action lawsuit over the lack of an immobilizer making certain Kia models easy to steal, in as little as 30 seconds.
