Here's a story for the birds, and bird-watchers! Huge flocks migrating en masse this week over our region.
Watch out for Warblers, and look out for Orioles.
They're among the birds expected to fly in for the summer this week.
Rachel Handel of the Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania says this year's flight was a bit delayed due to the cold snap a could weeks back, but they're cleared for landing now.
“We still anticipate that there are still millions of birds that are making the migration track,” said Handel. “We’re kind of, right now, at the peak.”
And she says you can help our feathered friends by turning off lights at night, since birds rely on the moon for direction, and darkness to avoid predators.
