
NewsRadio KDKA's own Larry Richert has been honored with a first-ever award in Bradenton, Florida.
Larry was presented with the with the first-ever Media Ambassador of the Year Award by the Bradenton Area Convention & Visitors Bureau before the Donnie Iris / Grassroots concert at the Center of Anna Maria.
"I've been broadcasting down there for years and still enjoy every minute of it," said Richert. "This unexpected award is more than being a media ambassador, but a testament to the great partnership between the Pittsburgh and Bradenton Area that I hope will continue for years to come."
With over 30 years of media experience, Richert has been a long-time ambassador for the city of Pittsburgh in both radio and television. Throughout his successful career, Richert has lended his voice to a wide scope of projects, ranging from voicing the NFL Films Steelers Highlights, hosting the Pitt Panthers Football network pre-game show and a 10-year stint as a weather anchor on sister station KDKA-TV.
