Two officers injured in a shootout with a suspect this morning have been released from the hospital.
It began in Hazelwood just after 8:00 Monday night.
Pittsburgh Police tried to conduct a traffic stop on 26-year-old Erik Addison, who they say was a known suspect.
Addison instead allegedly hit an investigator's car and drove away from the scene.
Pittsburgh Police chose not to pursue him, but did alert Homestead Police.
Later, police say Addison hit a car on the Homestead Grays Bridge and abandoned the car on 8th Avenue.
A Homestead officer found Addison nearby, when police say the suspect pulled a gun and began shooting.
Officers returned fired, hitting Addison in the leg.
He was initially taken to the hospital in critical condition but has been upgraded to stable.
He's facing numerous charges, including attempted murder of a law enforcement officer.
