Levin Furniture is reopening its original store on Main Street in Mt Pleasant on Wednesday, April 14.

The heartbreak of losing the original store during our initial re-opening makes this event even more meaningful to all of us at Levin. In 2017 Art Van Furniture purchased the Levin stores. By March of 2020, the company filed for bankruptcy, shut down operations and announced plans to liquidate the assets.
That's when Robert Levin announced his plan to come out of retirement and buy back the company.
His initial deal with Art Van Furniture fell through in mid-march 2020, but in May he announced that a deal had been reached to reopen select stores in Pennsylvania and Ohio.
In July of 2020, 17 Levin Furniture stores in Pittsburgh and Cleveland were back in business.
The Mt Pleasant store originally opened in 1920.
