When I first met Linda at her home in Sharpsburg, PA last week she was distraught and even going to a dark place as she struggled to find help with a plumbing nightmare. The image of her showing me the backyard toilet she was forced to use moved a lot of people to reach out, offering to help.
My friend Lisa Mertz and her husband Matt from Matt Mertz Plumbing had already started the process after hearing the gut-wrenching voicemail Linda left me, pleading for help. Man did they deliver. The very next day, their team had cleared the clogs that forced Linda out back.

Kathleen Stanley is the Director of Outreach Ministries for Roots of Faith. It's a part of Faith United Methodist Church in Fox Chapel that is committed to helping people in the community. They're helping Linda with a meal plan and they're also helping with legal assistance to handle legal issues left behind when Linda's sister passed away.
It's not an overnight fix, but Linda now has the support she needs to move forward. Oh and if you didn't see the video, you should watch to see Linda's message to the social media trolls and haters had negative things to say about her situation.
