The Butler County Humane Society is trying to juggle an influx of new animals.
At one point, they reached critically low levels of pet food. So low, they canceled their monthly food giveaway in September and October.
Executive Director Cari Ciancio says the community has since stepped up in a big way with donations, but they're down in general.
"They don't have as much expendable cash to provide donations or go out and buy food and canned food and stuff for us as donation, so it affects the monetary donations that nonprofits get, as well as physical supplies that we actually need," Ciancio.
To help, you can donate to the Butler County Humane Society's on their website, or foster one of the animals yourself.
