An Allegheny County contractor is being sued by the state's attorney general.
Brian Myers is accused of taking money for home improvement jobs he never finished.
PA Attorney General Dave Sunday says his office has received 10 complaints against Myers and his business, Harpen Construction from consumers who made down payments for work that wasn't finished.
“This is the time of year when scammers target homeowners looking to make improvements, so Pennsylvanians should have their guard up,” AG Sunday said. “This company blatantly broke the law by not making good on paid-for contracts, and for using contracts that did not comply with Pennsylvania’s Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act.”
The lawsuit seeks to prevent Myers and his company from working as home improvement contractors in the state, along with restitution, civil penalties and costs.
