A Westmoreland County man is $1.6 million dollars richer after matching all 6 numbers on a Match 6 lotto ticket and was presented with a commemorative check Wednesday
68-year-old Don Goulding Sr. bought the ticket after work right around his birthday at the S&S Corner Market on Apollo Road in Mt. Pleasant.
He said he kept looking at the ticket to make sure it was real.
“I bought the ticket after work, and discovered I won later that day after running some errands,” said Goulding. “I opened my tablet and saw that I got all six numbers! I must have looked at the ticket eight times to see if I was hallucinating. I couldn’t sleep that night.”
Goulding, a part-time auto parts delivery driver says a friend walking by his home after he found out he won.
“She was shocked,” he said. “She said, ‘Oh my gosh I’ve never seen that before!’”
Goulding tick the jackpot during the July 13 drawing.
The store gets $10 thousand dollars for selling with winning ticket.
