The facility is getting ready to open its doors where it will be able to house women escaping situations where they're being trafficked for sex, or victims of sexual violence.
Executive Director Theresa Golden took us through the three-story building that's nearly ready for its first residents.

The facility will not only address housing needs, it will also have a medical staff to assist with drug and alcohol recovery issues as well as other medical and mental health issues. They'll also have a licensed therapist and social workers on staff.
The goal is a two-year program that will transition women from the streets to a normal stable environment and get them ready to stand on their own once.

As you can imagine the cost is not insignificant and since there is no charge for the women they're helping the organization relies on donations and Medicare to keep its services running.
