Carnegie residents are being warned to lock their cars, trucks and SUVs.

Police say thieves ransacked 10-12 unlocked vehicles this week on Huron Street, Reamer Avenue and Bell Avenue.

Carnegie Police Chief Jeffrey Kennedy says they've arrested some of the thieves before, but they've being released and quickly go back to stealing.

Police in Kennedy Township also sent out a reminder on Facebook this week, encouraging people to look their vehicle doors.

They say they’ve noticed an increase in thefts and that nearly all of the victim’s doors were unlocked.
