The AMC Waterfront 22 Cineplex in Homestead is about to get a major facelift.
The announcement from AMC Theatres says the company is planning a multi-million-dollar renovation to its movie theater in the Waterfront in 2025.
AMC Waterfront was one of the site's original anchors when it opened on May 5, 2000.
Next year's renovation will include new state of the art seating, a downstairs bar as well as new carpeting and paint among the various upgrades.
The overall number of seats will drop from about 4,000 to 2,000 - but they'll be wider and will recline.
And AMC says it intends to keep all 22 screens.
A broader redevelopment of the Waterfront entertainment complex could also include more hotels, apartments and restaurants.
