The man accused of killing his mother and aunt late last month has died inside Beaver County Jail. That’s according to District Attorney David Lozier’s office. An update will be provided on Friday afternoon.

On Saturday, June 24 in New Sewickley township, 71-year-old Deloris Selby and 65-year-old Mary Lihosit were found shot dead inside a home.

43-year-old Benjamin Selby, of Zelienople, was charged with homicide for the killings.

Selby's 92-year-old grandmother was in the home at the time, but was unharmed.

New Sewickley Police Chief Greg Carney said during a news conference on Monday, they still don't have a motive.

“It’s going to be tough without him talking to us about what happened it’s going to be very difficult to find a reason why this happened,” said Carney.
