A man was the victim of an armed carjacking Sunday night in East Liberty.
Police were sent to Whole Foods in the 5700 block of Penn Avenue around 9:45 p.m.
The man told officers he was sitting inside his vehicle in the parking garage when a man opened the driver's side door, pointed a gun at him and forced him out of the white Audi station wagon.
The actor threw the victim's cell phone out of the car before fleeing.
A short time later, Chipotle in the 1000 block of Freeport Road was robbed by a man who put a gun to a worker's back and demanded cash from the register.
No one was injured in either incident.
Police have not confirmed if they are connected.
