A local man charged with holding captive a woman who was rescued after leaving notes in public bathrooms is free on bond.
According to court documents, 40-year-old Corey Brewer was released on $500 bond last week, just one day after he was arrested.
Bond was set by Magisterial District Judge Robert Ravenstahl Jr.
Police say his victim left notes in multiple public bathrooms pleading for someone to call 9-1-1 because she was being held captive and abused in a Scott apartment.
The notes eventually led to Brewer's arrest. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing in September.
