An elderly man died in a house fire last night in South Park.

A 911 call about a burning house in the 5800 block of Curry Road came in around 9:45 p.m.
Firefighters say the 80-year-old man didn't make it out of the home and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Broughton Volunteer Fire Department says pets were also discovered inside.
Homicide and the county Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating a cause.
The fire department says they don't suspect foul play.
