A Pittsburgh man was sentenced to 8 to 16 years in prison for shooting a woman in front of her children last year.
37-year-old Joseph Hogg pleaded guilty to attempted homicide and several other charges. According to a criminal complaint, Hogg told police him and the victim Brenna Richards were dating on and off, and claimed she was abusive.
He said he went to her house, rammed the door open and shot Richards multiple times in front of her two kids. Richards survived, and spoke at today's sentencing hearing.
Hogg had shot Richards in both the legs and head. Once released he will serve 4 years on probation.
