A man with several knives was shot by State Police Wednesday morning in Fayette County.
Troopers responding to a domestic disturbance at a home in the 200 block of Amend Road in Georges Township say 43-year-old Thomas Conroy had a dispute with his mother.
They say Conroy came out of the house around 4:45 a.m. holding several knives, refused commands to drop them and the officers shot him.
He was taken to a hospital in stable condition.
The Troop B Major Case Team is investigating the incident.
