Pittsburgh Police are investigating a downtown shooting that took place Monday evening in an apartment building.

According to officials, one person was shot inside an apartment building in the 600 block of Stanwix Street.
The male victim had gunshot wounds to both of his legs on the 11th floor suite. First responders applied tourniquets until paramedics arrived. He was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
An investigation is ongoing.
