Pittsburgh Police are investigating after a person was shot Tuesday afternoon in the Knoxville area of Pittsburgh.
Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Charles Street just after 1 p.m. for reports of a person shot.
Mount Oliver Police working in the area arrived first on scene and found a man with a gunshot wound to the thigh.
Officers applied a tourniquet until Pittsburgh EMS could transport the patient to the hospital in critical, but stable condition.
Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating.
