UPMC confirms three measles cases were confirmed at Children's Hospital last week and another give possible cases with test results pending.
It is not known where the children live, but UPMC does say none of them are hospitalized. Patients from other counties comes into Allegheny to get tested for the disease.
According to the state Health Department’s last update, there are ZERO cases of measles in Allegheny County on its dashboard.
New data will be released on Monday afternoon.
It is expected none of the patients received the MMR vaccine.
“When you have people that are not immunized and it is a very communicable disease, it will spread, especially in a community of people that are not immunized,” Dr. Kevin Wong told KDKA Radio’s Marty Griffin.

With schools back in session concerned parents can find out the percentage of students who've been vaccinated at their children's school.
Measles is 12 times more contagious than the flu and twice as contagious as COVID-19.
Unless a student has a “medical or religious/philosophical exemption”, they must be vaccinated for certain diseases, including measles.
