Initially posted to The News Alerts of Beaver County Facebook page it was originally unclear what the light in the sky was.
In the video you see what looks like an ultra-bright shooting star fly through the sky, but then banishes into the darkness.
The burst of light from the object is what keeps it from being just a regular shooting star.
This isn’t the first meteor event over the Western Pennsylvania area this year when a loud boom was heard on New Years Day and was later determined to be a meteor explosion.
