Mobile bar in Lawrenceville, Downtown cafe closed by Health Department

A mobile bar service operating in Lawrenceville and a Downtown coffee shop were ordered closed by the Allegheny County Health Department recently.

Pour Boys Mobile Bar out of Mt. Lebanon, operating on Butler Street was closed after an inspection found the facility was operating without a health permit.

Restaurants operating in Allegheny County must have a valid health permit.

Other issues found include lack of a thermometer in the cooler, operating with not enough water (less than 3 gallons) and a sink used for more than handwashing.

An inspection report says a reinspection is pending the acquisition of a permit.

611 Café was ordered to close last week after an inspection showed that workers were “unable to invoices for sources of food offered at facility. Food, food packaging, and utensils stored at kiosk are unsecure.”

Other high-risk violations include half and half and heavy cream being held at temperatures between 49 and 51 degrees. Cold holding foods must be held at 41 degrees or lower.

The café was also operating without a valid health permit.

Any updates to both locations can be found on the Health Department’s website.
