A mother and daughter from Westmoreland County are accused of stealing $4.4 million in inheritance money from a relative.
51-year-old Lisa Valesky and her 26-year-old daughter, Angela are facing felony theft charges in connection with the estate of the former president of Greensburg Beverage.
An investigation found a hearing on the disbursement of the estate included a phone call from someone claiming to be Lisa's sister in Florida authorizing a $4.4 million check for Lisa.
Detectives say financial records show the check was deposited into a joint bank account shared by Lisa and her daughter and over the next month, $3.1 million was transferred to numerous bank accounts.
Investigators say both women purchased homes and an SUV with cash.
Bail for both women was denied and preliminary hearings are scheduled for later this month.
