A teenage woman faces charges after they say she attacked a woman in Monessen who was five months pregnant

18-year-old Brooke Linn is charged with aggravated assault of an unborn child, simple assault and reckless endangerment.

Monessen Police say the pregnant woman called police last week from a hospital, reporting the alleged assault.

She told officers she was at a residence on Short Street with some friends when she got into an argument with Linn.

The victim says the argument turned physical and after she tried to push Linn away, she was “kicked four times in the stomach causing pain.”

The pregnant woman told police that Linn knew she was expecting because Linn was going to attend the woman’s baby shower.

Police said the victim had “abrasions” on her as a result of the alleged assault.
