A Rankin mother and her boyfriend are facing charges after police say they abused two toddlers to the point where both were hospitalized.
Police say two toddlers, ages 2 and 3, were taken to UPMC Children's Hospital by their mother, Haley Province, on November 5.
The children had multiple fractures, cuts and bruises.
The 2-year-old had reported brain damage and tested positive for cocaine.
Doctors says the injuries were indicative of child abuse and were not caused accidentally.
Province and Bobby Bender are both charged with six counts of aggravated assault, two counts of endangering the welfare of children and one count of criminal conspiracy.
