The Mt. Lebanon School Board member accused of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old girl has resigned.
The Board member was arrested this past week while in Florida. He was released on a $15,000 bond after spending a night in jail.
Andrew Freeman, 34, allegedly tried to kiss the teenage girl and put his hands up her clothes.
The investigation opened up after the victim had disclosed the information about Freeman to a family member.
Last week, the district came out and vocalized that "The charges are very serious and disturbing".
The district said it's now accepting applications for his replacement. Freeman initially denied the allegations, but eventually admitted to the crime.
