A multiple vehicle crash in Whitehall sent four people to the hospital Wednesday night.
The crash was along Route 51 near Baldwin-Whitehall High School. A head-on collision occurred before 11 p.m. Wednesday night.
According to Whitehall Borough Police, preliminary information indicates that an SUV moved across from the northbound lane and collided with another SUV in the southbound lane.
Local trauma centers treated around the area treated the four patients. One is is listed in critical condition. A drug and alcohol test was requested and no other information regarding injuries are available at this time.
Route 51 was closed for a short period after the crash but has been reopened now.
Assisting at the scene were Baldwin Police, Brentwood Police, Medial Rescue Team South Authority, Baldwin EMS, Whitehall Fire Company and Pleasant Hills Fire Company.
