The National Weather Service has issued flood warnings for rivers in the southwestern Pennsylvania.
The warning is in effect for:
The Youghiogheny River in Connellsville, Fayette County.
Monongahela River near Elizabeth, Charleroi, at Grays Landing, at Point Marion and at Sutersville. All of which affect Allegheny, Fayette, Greene, Washington and Westmoreland Counties.
The warnings remains in effect until 1am March 2.
A flood advisory remains in effect for the Ohio River in Allegheny County until 7am Thursday morning.
Motorists are encouraged to avoid driving through flooded areas. The NWS says most flood deaths happen in vehicles.
Rain and melting snow are contributing to the rise in the rivers.
