There are new aspirin guidelines from a panel of national experts in disease prevention.

People 60 and older are advised NOT to take aspirin to prevent a heart attack or stroke.

Dr. Walter McGregor is a Cardiothoracic Surgeon with Allegheny Health Network.

"The risks of taking a daily aspirin might actually outweigh the benefits", he says, "if you really don't have much in the way of cardiovascular risk".

Dr. McGregor told Larry and Kevin on the NewsRadio KDKA Morning Show it's best to consult with your physician before starting a daily aspirin regimen.
