Police in New Kensington are investigating after a man was shot Tuesday night.
Officers responded to the 1100 block of Fifth Avenue around 9:15 p.m. where they were told at 35-year-old man has been shot in the area and was taken to a local hospital in a private vehicle.
The unnamed victim was last listed in stable condition, but remains in the hospital.
Police have identified the shooter as Black man between 220-230 pound, standing around 6-foot-1 with dreadlocks and glasses. He was last seen leaving the area on foot.
Evidence of the shooting was found near the Valley Royal Court Apartments.
