A new shopping center is coming to Butler County.
Jackson Township supervisors have approved the development including Aldi, O'Reilly Auto Parts and a sit-down restaurant in the Jackson Village shopping center.
“This is an old lot that used to have the old Zelienople Motel on it and two other small buildings that were demoed to make this new shopping center,” said Planning Director and Zoning Officer Nikki Colton.
Four drive-thru restaurants, including a Wendy’s, are also planned, along with a bank with a drive-thru and a convenience store with a gas station.
Aldi is expected to be the first to open in the spring.
Colton says the location is close to Interstate 79 and will bring new jobs to the growing community.
