Fans at the NFL Draft in Pittsburgh

City of Pittsburgh

If you skipped the NFL Draft crowds, there’s a new reason to rethink. Getting there just got easier and cheaper.

For fans who may have stayed away from the NFL Draft because of traffic and parking concerns, things are shifting.

With more people opting for rideshare and public transportation, demand for parking has dropped, prompting Rivers Casino to cut garage prices from $250 to $100 for Friday and Saturday.

One lot that KDKA Radio’s Marty Griffin was in Pittsburgh has reduced its rate from $90 to $30.

That shift is also showing up across the city, with several Pittsburgh Regional Transit park-and-ride lots filling up early on day one.

Officials are urging fans to use the T, Football Flyer buses, or even hop on the Gateway Clipper, which is offering one-way rides for $10 to get people to the North Shore, making it easier for those still thinking about heading down to join the action.
